Summary

I believe that as a teacher I have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of young people. This is why I am passionate about pastoral care in my classes and in the school as a whole.

My specialty subjects are Health and Social Care, Child Development and LLW. Teaching these subjects during my PGCE has reinforced the love and enthusiasm I already had and I have enjoyed building relationships with my students. I am an approachable, conscientious, reliable, trustworthy and versatile person. I enjoy using my initiative and work collaboratively, which is why I work well both as part of a team and independently. As a single mother and a student, I have had to be highly organised and efficient, I believe this is reflected in my academic success.

My return to full time education as a mature student and the paths I have taken since, reflect my passion for learning and this is something I know will enhance my role as a teacher.

Teaching is a rewarding career and I hope to broaden my experiences not only in my subjects listed above, but also in other subjects.
