In 2021, when I began university, I established my own dog-sitting business providing trusted care for dogs and other animals across the local community a service that continues to grow, with bookings now made up to a year in advance. This role requires excellent communication, organisation, and reliability, ensuring each client receives a high standard of personalised care. I deliver attentive, hands-on care during visits, maintaining the safety, comfort, and well-being of all animals throughout walks, play, and overnight stays. Responsibilities include monitoring animal health and behaviour, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness in living areas, and providing clear updates and feedback to owners. Running this business has strengthened my customer service skills and ability to manage multiple clients, adapt to flexible working hours, and handle challenging situations calmly and professionally.

In May 2025, I graduated from my four-year integrated master's degree in Veterinary Physiotherapy and established my own business, providing physiotherapy and rehabilitation services for horses and dogs across East Anglia. Since then, I have worked with a wide range of patients from agility dogs to high-level show jumpers, dressage horses, and driving horses supporting both recovery from injury and the maintenance of peak performance. My work involves developing tailored rehabilitation programmes to enhance recovery across multiple species, collaborating closely with veterinarians to integrate physiotherapy into comprehensive health management plans, and conducting detailed physical assessments to establish individualised treatment strategies. I utilise therapeutic modalities such as pulse magnetic therapy and TENS/NMES, alongside manual therapies including soft tissue massage, to relieve discomfort and restore function. I also take an educational approach with clients, guiding them on post-treatment care and injury prevention to ensure lasting results. Running my own business has further strengthened my skills in marketing, social media management, customer service, time management, and organisation, allowing me to build a strong professional reputation and a loyal client base throughout the region.

During my time working as a Waitress at Prezzo, I developed strong communication and customer service skills while working in a fast-paced hospitality environment. My role involved delivering excellent service by anticipating and meeting guests' needs, coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate meal preparation, and maintaining a clean and organised dining area to enhance the overall dining experience. I also assisted in training new team members, supporting them in developing product knowledge and efficient service techniques. This position strengthened my ability to multitask effectively, remain calm under pressure, and work collaboratively within a busy team environment.
