
I am currently an aspiring senior waitress in The Dormy Clubhouse at Gleneagles Hotel, and have been a part of the business for almost a five years. Whitest working at Gleneagles I have been a part of lots of exciting functions such as VIP events , The Senior Open, Michelin star dinners and weddings. I have also experienced many other departments of the business such as private dining events, supporting the Strathearn, Garden Cafe and The Birnam when they require. I have really enjoyed these opportunities to develop my skill-set further and learn from other people. I have also taken parts in training courses to better my knowledge in my role, such as wine training and a 2 day course on ‘The Gleneagles Way’. I feel I really benefited from these and it has positively impacted my delivery of service. I feel really proud and passionate about working at Gleneagles and feel my personality shines through in the service I deliver. I have found myself in lots of situations using my problem-solving skills and ability to de-escalate situations for the good of the business. I would describe myself as a very confident and outgoing person and I am keen to learn new things and to better the service that I deliver everyday. I am very empathetic when dealing with guests and I am supportive and understanding when working as part of a team. In the busy environment of the Dormy I am a very team oriented worker and lead by the “one-team, one-dream” attitude. When working alongside the team I am always courteous and respectful and proactive in helping others . I always go above and beyond in many aspects and have taken it upon myself to learn how to do various tasks within my role. I am a keen learner, hard working and ambitious.
