M.Sc. in psychiatry, Cairo University, 2016 – 2022. Grade: Very Good. Dissertation: Depression, Quality of Life and Glycemic Control in Young Adults with Type 1 Diabetes Mellitus.
Management of Change (QIP / Audits)
- I have been involved in 3 audits. Key audit and QIP where I devised, created and implemented the work include:
- Audit for assessing and improving the quality of clinical documentation in psychiatry outpatient clinic, Cairo University Students’ Hospital, December 2023-March 2024. The results of this were presented at clinical audit meetings.
- I have been involved in the leadership of ‘The Inbetweeners – ADHD Medication Prescribing in General Practice’ The aim is to help GPs across Lambeth develop more confidence in starting and monitoring ADHD medications for older adolescents and young adults who are 17+ and diagnosed with ADHD. Lambeth CAMHS, SLAM, London. October 2024- present.
Teaching
During specialty years I have taught junior doctors and students both at clinics & in tutorial sessions. Highlight includes leading organization and presentation of induction program to junior doctors in Neuropsychiatry clinic, Cairo University Students’ Hospital, December 2023-January 2024. This included lectures, case-based discussions and shadowing Rota.
