  • Completed Design Concessions on MT-30 Front Bearing Housing (FBH) & Buffer Sleeve Assembly for Power Turbine Bearing Housing , TP-400 High Pressure Compressor Baffle
  • Contributed to the analysis regarding the integration of liners on outer casing of Adour 871 - specifically looking at the fuel feed sub & cabin air supply sub-assemblies.
  • Sketched and Modelled 2 sub-assemblies using NX Siemens for the Adour 871 analysis
  • Analysed previous concession data using Microsoft Excel pivot tables for the MT-30 FBH to help identify which dimensions are most frequently manufactured outside of drawing intent limits.

Placement 1 - Laser Directed Energy Weapons (LDEW) (10/2023 - 04/2024)

  • Engaged, attended and contributed to several meetings with a range of stakeholders which include wider team members, Defence Science Technology Laboratories (DSTL) scientific advisors, independent advisors (Civil Airworthiness Authority), British Army users, Trials Devilment Units (TDUs) and industry partners (QinetiQ, BAE Systems and NP Aerospace)
  • Maintained current trails plan for projects that were contributed to, using SQEP developed by completion of relevant training
  • Created report summarising suitable training areas for serials to be conducted for User Experimentation (UE)


Placement 2 - Tactical Communications (04/2024- 10/2024)


  • Engaged and attended mobility trials and platform testing for projects - allowing for testing of equipment and development of project requirements from discussions with ex-users (requirements included power, vehicle integration, data storage, weight, size and antenna specification)
  • Created a report for key findings from the Platform Integration Event testing, report included proposed recommendations for how the system should be altered prior to its release for user integration
  • Developed a basic understanding for data encryption
