  • I attend monthly meetings of the Board at the University of Wales Hospital, Cardiff.
  • The aim of the board is to ensure that young people and childen's voices are heard when decisions are made regarding their health and wellbeing.
  • Individuals from many different departments within the CAV health profession regularly attend the meetings to ask our opinions on new developments within the board from a young persons perspective. I thoroughly enjoy taking part in these discussions as I think it is very important for children and young people's voices to be heard in matters relating to them.
  • I have taken part in a Children's World Health Day event at UHW where I was on hand to speak to health professionals about what our role is and how we might me able to help them. Through my work with the Youth Health Board I have visited and given my opinion on the new centre for young people - The Hangout - in central Cardiff who support young people with emotional and mental health problems.
