Summary

I have always been an outgoing and sporty person. I have always been willing to try new things, meet different people and aim for fun time which is exactly what I find in my football team. I find the positives in almost anything and that drives me to keep going in anything I may find challenging. English is my favourite and best subject as I am constantly thinking deep into things which do not have one set answer as I find the many possibilities extremely interesting. Recently I have been gaining a passion for the study of the body as I find it interesting also. My passion, from a young age, has always been caring and helping people when I can, I feel as though I am always putting others before me as a way of showing my care, but I have realised I need to be focused within myself to offer the correct help and support for others. I believe that a career in dental nursing would suit me best as I would enjoy it deeply and stay motivated throughout my time studying it. I also think that working hands on and gaining first-hand experience in an apprentice job would suit me best as enjoy a challenge. Being in a practical and professional environment would progress me as an apprentice as I am a focussed, a fast learner and have a driven desire to succeed.

The Village Store

  • During my time at The Village Store, I developed a variation of valuable skills such as teamwork and customer service. I believe that these skills have helped me to gain confidence when talking to people, I also think that it has helped me to be more independent when facing challenging tasks. Due to the shop being a constant busy environment, I learned how to act fast and think on my feet. What the employers liked about me was my ability to do things without being asked and being able to do them properly. My employer showed me all the different aspects of being a successful business owner, she showed me the health and safety files as there were many risks like allergies and cross contamination as they were dealing with daily food deliveries and had to store it all correctly. During my time working at the shop, I was introduced to a large team of staff and lots of regular customers, this challenged my communication and listening skills and I feel I have grown a lot from this. After my one-week work experience, my employer decided to keep me as a member of staff and let me work over many holidays and weekends.
  • Completed one week of work experience at The Village Store.

Interests and Activities

Throughout my footballing career I have had an abundance of opportunities and many successful moments. My most favoured experiences have to have been attending the Gothia Cup in Sweden with my current football team Chesterfield FC, we had the chance to play against teams from all over the world and we managed to reach the semi-finals which lead to us meeting many different people from all different backgrounds and cultures. I have played for many teams with one being the honour of representing Sheffield School Girls in the Yorkshire federation league for 2 seasons. I was chosen to captain big games against the likes of Liverpool and York, in my last season of playing for Sheffield schools we won the league against York. From this, I was scouted by England. My biggest achievement through football was having the opportunity to get a scholarship in the USA, I travelled to Miami and Orlando in the state of Florida in which I played against lots of the main university football teams. During my time in Florida, I decided that living abroad wasn’t for me as I was keen on getting my education closer to home as I know how important a good support system around me is and being able to get the highest education I can. Over the past couple of years I have been learning to ski as I am very keen on trying new things and having a fun time doing so, I believe that the more variety of skills I have the better, as I want to experience as much as I can in my lifetime and this has lead to me visiting Austria and seeing a whole different world.
