Interests

My other achievements, both in and out of my education, have been in sport. I take part in Cricket, Football, Handball and enjoy cycling. I have represented the University of Lincoln Handball team during my time at the University also representing the University at the National University Championships. I have also represented Norwich City Cricket Club during my time back home. The use of these team sports has highlighted the importance of being a team player. For both Cricket and Football, I have represented both at club and school levels which have taught me how to work efficiently within a team. I have also captained my cricket team highlighting the key leadership traits that I have and can guide and direct a team to a certain goal. For the past couple of years my interest in cycling has grown. I can be very focused on setting myself goals and challenges to better myself; I feel that taking part in these sports I have gained communication skills and increased my self-confidence have also supported my father and stepmother in raising money for the Jon Egging Trust, by helping in events such as Tombolas, charity car washes. It has given me the opportunity to help people who are less fortunate than myself and giving me confidence in dealing with the general public.

  • Leadership Experience: Captained both school cricket & football teams leading the football team to multiple silverware during my time there.
  • University Of Lincoln Handball Treasurer: Acted as treasurer for the club which involved sorting out sponsorship and funding for the team as well as interacting with third parties to also gain funds and providing statements of the spending of the club.
  • University Of Lincoln Darts Social Secretary: Acted as social secretary providing the squad with team events throughout the year. As well as also organising with a team the first-ever Lincolnshire Darts Open which was a great success in raising funds for the team and is set to be continue for years to come this also displays my communication skills by talking to third parties in order to get the event to go ahead. This also included myself to control the social media channels and posts to keep our members updated on events that I myself had planned
