In summary, I am a motivated and responsible person with hands‑on experience supporting children and young people in gymnastics coaching which allows me to communicate clearly with gymnasts, parents, and carers. I have strong listening, organisation and time‑management skills. I enjoy getting out and meeting new people and I'm keen to learn new skills. Alongside any work experience I’ve had I also go to Fire Cadets every Monday and that helps develop my communication and teamwork skills. Every Tuesday I do recreational gymnastics which helps develop my perseverance.
I instruct and coach gymnasts from age 5 to age 12, which have different gymnastic abilities and skills. I observe and evaluate gymnasts progress and provide feedback to each child regarding performance and efforts. I coach young gymnasts to help them develop and master specific techniques and help build confidence.
I was responsible for organising and delivering a monthly magazine for homes in and around Kingskerswell. Prior to delivery I had to ensure each magazine had the correct amount of leaflets which has supported my organisational skills. Upon completion of delivery I had to ensure my deliveries were recorded and submitted in a timely way.
I have gained a Level 1 Coach certification which enables me to independently support groups of young people through their gymnastics skills Within my groups I deliver constructive feedback to help my gymnasts develop and correct their skills, this has also helped me to develop strong communication skills, which I use to explain skills to gymnasts and their parents and carers My ability ti listen to and then apply feedback has also been improved as I get feedback from coaches on higher coaching levels than me which helps me improve how I support my gymnasts' skills
For a week in year 10 I went on a work experience visit for a week down at Cockington Primary school, this helped me learn new skills on how to help younger children and it helped me develop communication skills.
