Summary

I am a conscientious student with solid grades aspiring to work in maths, science or engineering; college being my next step after GCSEs. I enjoy challenges and problem solving.

I was chosen to be in a team for a math challenge this year held at Winchester college where we were placed 3rd out of 15 schools. In addition, for the past 2 years, I have been an active member in the team representing Bitterne Park Secondary, competing with other schools in a Design & Technology Rotary Challenge where we placed 1st and 2nd respectively with our innovative designs and teamwork in troubleshooting /problem solving.

In my role of badminton captain and a Y11 prefect, it was imperative for me to be a supportive role model for lower year groups and everyone around me, maintaining high standards at school. My duties include supervising break/lunch, liaising and carrying out errands/duties for teachers, which has taught me responsibility and good time management and punctuality. I was selected to be a guide for parents and Y6 students during Open Day, enabling me to share my experiences and apply good communication skills - further demonstrating that I am happy and confident to work with younger or older people.
