My time at the VIA( voices in action) has improved my teamworking skills when working with new people; the VIA is a group organized by the city council and meetings are hosted every Monday once a month

During those meetings we worked and conversed in groups disusing matters about the state of derby and the issues affecting the youth and how to improve the current state of affairs

In those meetings introducing and converse with people that I have never met voicing ideas and opinions productively this skill that drastically improved communication skills increasing my capacity when discussing and working with new people

Enthusiastic for learning: In school I always has an enthusiasm to learn and better myself as a person, during that time taking part in two after school activities, Maths club and CANSAT, joining each of these clubs in order to better myself as an individual for example during math club I was taught resilience never giving up when certain problems came my way CANSAT was a club joined due to my passion for engineering, having to work in groups of 5 to carry out the production of a rocket that would be able to fly in that group I learnt how to manage deadlines work on my own and in groups while enhancing my understanding of the entire project organisation; During my time studying engineering a skill of organisation has been a trait that is extremely important especially when working in teams for example when I took part in a 3 day overnight stay at university where we took part in different work shops that improved my sense of organisation, we had to take part in sporting activities in groups often being allowed to organize teams and work together while we working I understood the importance of organisation when working with people and in general allowing me to develop that skill further into everyday activities

communication: after school I volunteered to take part in an open evening in the science department of my school, in this role I had to explain how the circulator systems worked with some internal organs from a sheep to various parents and potential students this required me to talk in a crowd and work with people which was something I enjoyed doing exponentially while applying my theory knowledge into the real world this experience taught me how to help and communicate with strangers while also working under pressure and addressing large audience which improved my confidence
