I am a dedicated and experienced childcare professional with 22 years of experience in the early years sector. I have built a diverse career spanning roles as a Nursery Assistant, Nursery Manager, Area Lead overseeing Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Child Protection (CP), and an administrative position managing Nursery Education Funding submissions for local councils.
I have a strong background in leadership, safeguarding, regulatory compliance, and supporting inclusive practice. I am passionate about empowering every child to reach their full potential removing any barriers of learning to close the gap between them and their peers. I always focus on the wow moments to what the children can do and create extentions of learning from their interests so they want to explore.
I am committed to creating safe, nurturing, and stimulating environments where children can thrive. I promote a curiosity approach by creating engaging, child-led environments that inspire exploration, creativity, and independent learning. I incorporate loose parts play to encourage problem-solving, imagination, critical thinking, and open-ended discovery, allowing children to learn through hands-on experiences at their own pace.
I love to be creative creating eye-catching, stimulating tuff trays for the children to explore i believe every texture tells a story and I enjoy linking these to forest school experiences.
I am organised, adaptable, and confident in building positive relationships with children, families, colleagues, and external agencies to achieve the best possible outcomes. I am a team player and always tell my team there is no I in team which creates an amazing enviroment for all.
