Work Experience & Achievements:

  • I have recently graduated from Derby University with a BA honours degree in illustration. Here I became familiar with a wide range of mediums, encompassing both digital and traditional. I am proficient in the Adobe Creative Suite and have the most experience in Photoshop, illustrator, and in-design. I have been using the adobe suite software for the last five years throughout my academic career, as well as recreationally to develop my practice further.
  • My Illustration work has been featured in the public exhibition, “Defining Freedom of the Press” located at St Brides Gallery in London, accompanying a conference surrounding the subject area. I have also been working with a play therapist to create graphics for a book based on anxiety management, which will soon be published. For my final project at university, I created a graphic novel/comic that was presented to the public at the Derby University degree show exhibition.
  • As well as developing my illustration practice, part of my course included how to incorporate graphic elements into illustration briefs. I have completed graphic-design-oriented briefs including packaging design, book covers, and brand design and I have a good understanding of typography.
  • Overall I consider myself a very reliable, hardworking individual who is used to working within deadlines at a fast pace. I work well in a creative environment and enjoy rising to any challenges the job may entail. I also consider myself an innovative person with a strong artistic voice, who thrives when given rigid briefs, but can extend my creativity to coming up with outcomes regardless of the context. I always try to go above and beyond with the work I produce, and I am eager to learn more about how my practice can fit within the creative industry.
