I am a dedicated swimmer with ten years of competitive experience at regional and national levels, and have played water polo for two years at club level. I have a passion for all sports and promoting healthy lifestyles. I am an experienced pool lifeguard and hold a current RLSS National Pool Lifeguard Qualification. I am also a qualified Level 2 swimming coach. I am a friendly, approachable, customer-focused, and committed team player with excellent people skills. I am hard-working and set high standards for myself, aiming for excellence in my work and personal development.

  • Respond swiftly to first aid requests and emergencies and complete any necessary first aid.
  • Maintain pool and changing room cleanliness by carrying out regular cleaning duties such as scrubbing tiles, scum lines and toilets.
  • Set up sports halls for a variety of activities.
  • Prepare for swimming galas and water polo matches by setting up lanes and goal posts.
  • Greet customers in a welcoming and friendly manner, dealing with queries and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Complete monthly training sessions to improve life-saving techniques - e.g. CPR to ensure skills remain relevant and up to date.
  • Demonstrate rescue techniques during lifeguard training sessions, including a variety of water recovery methods.
  • Where appropriate, reinforce pool rules to maintain customer safety and enjoyment for all users.

  • When not at the swimming pool I enjoy keeping fit in the gym or attending pilates or spin classes.
  • In order to relax I enjoy cooking, baking, watching movies and socialising with friends.
  • Volunteering - Summer 2024 I volunteered in Tanzania, building goat sheds and water tanks. I provided medical care and first aid to the Leprosy community and participated in a project promoting menstrual health for teenage girls.
  • I also volunteer at a local Homeless charity providing hot meals, clothes and basic necessities.
  • Currently completing my Gold Duke of Edinburgh award.
