• Whilst working at 'The Inn at Belfairs', I was offered the opportunity to pay for a 'Lifeguarding Course' over the summer holidays, of which i had to manage my two workplaces at the same time. This was a week-long intensive course which covered CPR, Procedures, Situational tests, Theory Tests, Poolside and practical examinations and workplace/ facility awareness. After this 5 day (36 hour minimum) course, I was awarded my 'NPLQ and Poolside Safety' Certificate and qualification. I was then later employed by 'Castle Point Leisure' who have taught me the skills and confidence to:
• Perform rescues in high-pressure situations safeguarding public lives.
• Manage general housekeeping duties around the pool area for a pleasant environment.
• Ensured safety of swimmers by diligent monitoring of pool activities.
• Carried out daily operational checks of equipment for optimal performance.
• Familiarise myself with updated technologies to help aid and assist both staff, and the public.

As of 2023, I have previously worked at 'Choice Discount Store Ltd.' as a 'Retail assistant'. With this role, I am experienced with;

• Handling cash register operations efficiently, minimising queue lengths at checkouts.
• I've handled transactions, maintaining accurate till records.
• I enjoy working with customers in a maturely and friendly manor, as well as supporting my team members for improved operational efficiency.

This has been a brilliant workplace for the foundations of my future career, immediately building on my teamwork and efficiency.

• Guided customers towards appropriate products based on their preferences, boosting overall satisfaction.

• During my time as a 'Retail Assistant', i also worked over the summer of 2024 as a 'Runner' at “The Inn at Belfairs”. This means I help and serve customers with their desired drinks, food, and overall dining experience. With this, i interact with customers, checking in on their preferences and needs, and handle any issues I can, in the best way I can. This work experience - along-side 'Choice' - filled in the grey areas of working solely in retail..
• I quickly learned and applied new skills to daily tasks, improving efficiency and productivity.
• I supported my team by demonstrating respect and willingness to help.
• I worked flexible hours, covering shifts, weekends and bank holidays.
• Displayed energy and enthusiasm in a fast-paced environment.
• And, it considerably helped me understand how best to tackle multiple Jobs and deadlines at once.
