Emmanuel Orchard

I volunteer with a local sports club for retirees managed by my grandmother.

In my role, I assist with setting up sports equipment and organising games. I also handle registration, serve refreshments, and enjoy spending time speaking with the attendees. It is a rewarding experience that allows me to connect with different people while supporting my grandmother's efforts to contribute to the community.

I recently completed three days of sessions and training across various teams within the commercial department. To make the most of this opportunity, I maintained a detailed timesheet and compiled specific questions for each employee I met with.

I thoroughly enjoyed meeting the team and learning about their roles and professional experiences. I found the experience incredibly rewarding and appreciated the chance to connect with so many new and interesting people.

I took part in volunteer work with the under-7s rugby team at Verulamians Rugby Club. Throughout the season, I was actively involved in providing training and support for the under 7's group. My responsibilities included assisting with the setup of each training session and helping to execute the drills and activities with the players.

It has been a rewarding experience supporting the club and contributing to the development of the youth program.

I took part in work experience at Wheatfield's Junior School. I chose to work in a school environment because I enjoy being with children and appreciate the educational setting.

During my time there, I valued the opportunity to connect with the teachers and their classes. My responsibilities included assisting with classroom planning, tutoring students with additional needs, and helping to set up classroom activities. I also assisted with teaching, supervised students in the playground during breaks, and supported trips to the local library.
