A diligent and hardworking student nurse, due to qualify in September. Simultaneously, i have been a care support worker for 7 years, working within Eastbourne District Hospital in a variety of acute settings. Prior to working in the hospital, I worked in the community, within patients homes and nursing homes. As a care support worker, i regularly work in different areas. For example in the respiratory department, patients require specialist equipment, such as nebulisation, oxygen and continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP). I have enjoyed a variety of placements during my time as a student at Brighton University. My placements allowed me the scope to perform many clinical skills safely and effectively. These include but are not limited to: wound care, NG insertion, ECG interpretation, venipuncture, cannulation, catheter care, medicines management and documenting electronically and on manually. Currently, I work on the Bank, with demonstrated success in emergency patient care. I am agile and responsive to dynamic patient needs and environmental conditions.
In my personal time I enjoy music, both listening and playing. I play basic guitar and ukulele, which contribute to my self-care. I love to sing, in the past I was part of the sopranos in a choir. I believe self-care supports healthcare professionals in better care-giving, so I take time for myself, taking classes at my local health club, or taking walks when the time permits it. I also volunteer as a special educational needs (SEN) lead, once every 4-weeks in a local church, giving respite to parents. This also keeps me well versed in any disability and neurodiversity training as well as the standard safeguarding for children training once a year.
Due to register with the NMC September 2025
