- Widening participation, which involved presenting taster sessions on zoology and the environment, to years 9 to 12. These children were amongst a demographic deemed unlikely to want to attend university.
- Duties were undertaken within secondary schools, curating and presenting lesson plans to last a full working school day. To supplement this, similar work was carried out at the university, leading students in talks, activities, and tours of the campus.
