To use imaging equipment correctly and report all equipment faults to the Band 7 Radiographer so that remedial action can
be taken immediately. Ensure faults are also fully documented and reported to a Superintendent Radiographer.
To participate in the Q.A. program for the department as directed by a Superintendent Radiographer.
To diligently record all necessary physical and technical data using departmental and hospital paper and electronic systems, i.e., CRIS,
PACS, UV WEB, and WEB V.
To take an active role in Radiology Audits as required. To participate in administrative duties as directed by a Superintendent
Radiographer.
To maintain and develop an interest in CPD – (this should include personal reflective practice as well as imparting knowledge to others).
To participate in the induction and training of new personnel to the department and specifically help in the training of student
radiographers.
To attend any courses or study days requested by the Radiology Services Manager, which will enhance personal development or
improve the service provided.
To participate in the department's appraisal program as it affects the radiographic establishment.
To set a good example in dress, timekeeping, and professional attitudes.

Provides technical work direction for the activities of Radiologic technologists and assigned staff.
Maintains adequate records - statistics, documentation policies and procedures for the designated area.
Plans the daily workload of the Radiologic Technology facility and directs the workflow so that the operation will function smoothly and
without undue delay to the patient and physician.
Requisitions and controls supplies requests equipment repair and checks repairs made to avoid loss of time and hazards to
patient/staff.
Attends staff conference to ensure coordination of efforts between the medical and technological staff, subsequently holds conference
with designated area staff to advise them of all new policy decisions and protocol and gets their input and suggestions for Radiology
Services improvement.
Makes frequent random inspection of the designated areas for proper cleanliness or orderliness and strict adherence to radiation
controls and safety procedures.
Advises the designated staff of all new policy decisions and protocols that are related to Radiology Services, Hospital and Company.
Participates in on-job training and in-service lectures to staff/trainees and will attend in-service education conducted by the Division.
Assists in the development of technique for a procedure.
Performs other miscellaneous related duties as requested by the head of the department.

Respond to the clinical requests of the MRI manager, duty Superintendent Radiographer and Consultant Radiologists
Conducting screening safety checks with patients prior to examination to obtain consent and ensure their suitability for imaging
examinations.
To obtain consent and conduct safety checks before a patient being administered contrast media and/or drugs specific to their
examination.
Data entry on the Radiology Information (RIS) and Picture Archive (PACs) Systems
Providing physical and emotional support to patients throughout their attendance
Support and train students, radiographic assistants
Participate in clinical audits including Health & Safety

Explain the MRI process to patients and ensure the patients comply with all safety standards.
Positioning, and possibly sedating, patients to capture clear images of the correct area of the body.
Removing and then replacing IVs and catheters for the MRI process.
Maneuvering the MRI equipment and positioning it to capture the correct images.
Monitored patients during scanning and maintained patients' records.
Monitoring MRI equipment functions.
Ensuring clear images for Physicians to provide accurate diagnoses.
Recognizing abnormalities and irregularities in images.
