
After gaining years of valuable experience in the medical field, I made the decision to pursue a career as a General Practitioner in order to achieve a better work-life balance. I an a hardworking and compassionate professional who maintains composure and focus even when I am under pressure. I have built up a range of skills from specialty training in the past and have a strong motivational drive to provide the best care and treatment for my patients. I am always eager to build on my clinical experience and competencies by learning new techniques and adding to my abilities in the face of challenging opportunities .I have learnt how to provide effective care to patients while being under pressure and always try to remain flexible to also help other members of the team. I have also become familiar and confident in treating different vulnerable patients empathetically and prioritizing their safety through thorough communication and adhering to Trust policies and guidelines. I am supportive, adaptive and believe in inclusion and my colleagues see me as an invaluable member of the team. An asset to my previous training in Pakistan means I have unique experience of managing patients in rural settings with very limited resources in addition to also managing a highly critical number of patients in the dense city hospitals. I am also very much aware of the importance of documentation and have the excellent organizational skills to maintain them accordingly.
I have been actively involved in delivering primary healthcare services while being guided by seasoned GPs. Through this experience, I have honed my skills in diagnosing and treating various acute and chronic medical conditions. Additionally, I have prioritised continuous learning and professional growth to improve the quality of patient care. Furthermore, I have garnered praise from both supervisors and peers for my unwavering dedication and commitment to patient well-being. My routine clinics include same day urgent care patients, e-consult triage and home visits.
I completed a six-month rotation at the GUM clinic where I managed patients with sexually transmitted infections and also conducted contraceptive clinics.
I did my hospital rotation of 6 months in Geriatric medicine which included a 3 month rotation in the Rehabilitation ward.
I worked at University Hospital Dorset as a rotational junior clinical fellow in general medicine. During this period, I rotated in acute medicine, geriatric medicine, endocrinology and stroke ward.
Gained hands-on experience in fast-paced emergency department at NHS facility in England during two-month internship, assisting in patient care and clinical procedures.
I worked as a Medical Officer in a private hospital for a period of 3 years. It included reviewing dermatology and general medicine patients in clinics as well as rotations in the emergency department.
I worked as an independent Dermatologist in a private clinic in Pakistan.
I completed my MCPS Dermatology training in Pakistan.
