Monitored labour, conducted deliveries, repaired episiotomies, performed MVA, and assisted in major surgeries (CS, hysterectomy, myomectomy, cerclage). Participated in clinical reviews and M&M meetings.
  • Paediatrics: Rotated through the paediatric emergency, neonatal unit, and endocrinology unit. Assessed and managed common paediatric and neonatal conditions, and performed key procedures including paediatric cannulation, phlebotomy, umbilical cannulation, exchange transfusion, lumbar puncture, and catheterisation. Attended daily clinical meetings, grand rounds, and M&M reviews.
  • Surgery: Rotated across urology, general surgery, and neurosurgery units. Clerked and stabilised emergency patients, assisted in major surgeries (appendectomy, laparotomy, cystectomy, nephrectomy, burrhole surgery), and performed routine procedures such as NGT insertion, catheterisation, cannulation, and phlebotomy. Took part in pre- and postoperative care, prepared operation notes and lists, and attended clinical and M&M meetings.

This internship provided comprehensive clinical exposure, procedural skills, and experience in both emergency and inpatient care across major specialties.
