Summary

People centred goalkeeper coach with experience as both an England international goalkeeper and England pathway coach, committed to developing adaptable, technically excellent and confident decision-makers. I create high performance learning environments that challenge, support and inspire goalkeepers to maximise their potential through individualised coaching and game realistic practice design. My philosophy is built on developing technically excellent, tactically intelligent and psychologically resilient goalkeepers who can influence the game, support the team and make effective decisions.

Having intentionally prepared for the transition into full-time coaching, I am passionate about supporting young goalkeepers to progress within elite pathways while continuing to learn, collaborate and contribute within a high performance academy environment.

Why Brighton

What particularly attracts me to Brighton after researching  is the club’s clear commitment to developing players, people and coaches within a progressive, high-performance environment. The values I have seen within the club closely align with my own coaching philosophy; creating individualised learning experiences, developing intelligent and adaptable players, and ensuring the person behind the player remains at the centre of the process.

I am drawn to Brighton’s approach to developing modern goalkeepers who can positively influence the game through technical excellence, tactical understanding, confidence in possession and effective decision-making. This strongly reflects my own beliefs around goalkeeper development, where mastering the fundamentals, understanding the demands of the game and creating realistic, challenging learning environments are essential to long-term progression.

Over the past two years, I have intentionally prepared for the transition into full-time coaching by developing my experience within the England pathway, continuing my professional development and gaining insight into a variety of Category 1 and 2 elite football environments. These experiences have strengthened my understanding that the best learning environments are built on high standards, strong relationships, individualised support and a commitment to continual improvement.

I believe my experiences as an England international goalkeeper, pathway coach and educator provide me with a unique perspective on what young goalkeepers need to thrive. I would be excited by the opportunity to contribute to Brighton’s Academy by helping develop technically excellent, tactically intelligent and psychologically resilient goalkeepers, while continuing to learn, collaborate and grow within a club that shares my passion for maximising the potential of every player.
