Summary

I am a self‑driven and motivated Lead Technician with strong leadership skills and the ability to remain calm and effective when facing challenges. I currently manage a team of 12 technicians across Bridgend Council and South Wales Police, taking responsibility for complex diagnostic work, workflow management, and maintaining high standards of reliability.

I began my career as a Light Vehicle Technician and have progressed to my current role through continuous development and hands‑on experience. I hold an NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Mechanics and an IMI Level 4 Electric Vehicle qualification, making me the only South Wales Police technician qualified to work on the EV fleet. I have also completed advanced diagnostic training, enabling me to analyse and interpret fault data safely and accurately.

I improved workshop efficiency by redesigning the job sheet process, reducing delays and improving KPIs. I regularly deliver toolbox talks, communicate technical updates, and support team development. Following amalgamation with Bridgend Council, I have gained experience working on HGVs, plant, and equipment, and I hold a current forklift licence.

I take responsibility for training and upskilling my teams, recently organising abrasive wheels training to ensure compliance with new gritting vehicle procedures. My broad technical background including EVs, diagnostics, HGVs, and plant gives me strong transferable skills suited to working with tri‑mode rolling stock.
