Personal Statement

The world of primary care is an area of continuous development, even more so since the COVID-19 Pandemic. I have enjoyed the opportunity to be involved in designing ways of working and ways of using new technology and software tools to both enhance the care that we can offer to our patients, while working in a sustainable manner. I truly take pride in being able to provide excellent care to my patients and also my involvement in teaching in training as a GP educational supervisor. Given the current pressures experienced by primary care, I believe it is increasingly important that clinicians make use of time outside of the workplace to ensure wellbeing in order to continue to provide care to our patients at the best of our ability. Outside of work, my children are my main hobby, making certain we spend quality time together and enjoy each other's company, and in so doing to witness first hand just how precious life is. Additionally, I enjoy badminton, cycling and attend a local club to play modern board games. When I am able to do so, I love my scuba diving, in which I have gained the PADI Master diver qualification.
