Accomplished Senior Clinical Psychologist with wide knowledge of clinical mental health conditions. Expert in behavioural and dialectical behavioural therapy. Recognised for using different impactful therapeutic approaches and techniques to adapt to different situations and clients.
I can outline my valuable skills as follows:
1. Doctoral level training(MPhil) in Clinical psychology.
2. Doctoral-level knowledge of research methodology in clinical fields of psychology
3. 4. Had training in Clinical supervision training for doctoral clinical /counselling psychology trainees by Hertfordshire University- Department of Psychology.
5.Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)- Practitioner Psychologist- Clinical/ Counselling Modalities-PYL32623- since 2015.
6. Post Qualification Training in DBT, CFT, CBTp, CBT for trauma, CFT for Trauma, ACT for Psychosis, CFT for Psychosis, NET.
7. Eligible for Accreditation by The British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) along with the HCPC accreditation.
8. Ongoing management / leadership training- already completed Communication and leadership, Strategic Planning and Persuasion by NHS leadership academy. Enrolled in Edward Jenner Leadership training programme.
9.Experience of working as a qualified Clinical psychologist at a highly specialist level.
10. Experience of working in an inpatient low secure ward with people with LD and Autism.
11. Experience of working in a forensic ward with people with Psychosis and Personality disorders.
12. Attended further specialist experience through CPD including supervised practice supplemented with training to the wider team on topics of psychology, reflective practice, Case discussions based on trauma-informed approach. Provides specialist psychological assessment, including cognitive and neurological assessment(using WAIS-IV, BADS, ABAS-III, Complex Figure Test, Addenbrooke's Cognitive Examination– ACE-III, International Personality Disorder Examination(IPDE), Rating scales and screening instruments such as BDI, WEMWBS, PHQ, GAD, OCI/ YBOCS, AQ/ EQ, DES etc.
13. Experience of Working with a wide variety of patient groups with varying presenting problems which reflect the full range of clinical severity.
14. Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism in the face of highly emotive and distressing problems, verbal abuse and the threat of physical abuse.
15. Provides teaching, training and clinical supervision- had trainee psychologists on placement as current role within a University Partnership NHS Trust. Also provides supervision to assistant psychologists and other members of the MDT
16. Experienced in using recovery measure DIALOG, WEMWBS, PHQ, GAD, Hopelessness Scale, relapse prevention plan etc as part of a Recovery Approach.
17. Experienced in risk assessment and management- also attended training on Suicide prevention- Simulation Hub training by HPFT.
18. Experienced in service development projects such as running a mega-hybrid service user group based on DBT, gathered more experience in providing input to a larger group of patients(18 service users from 5 crisis teams across the county).
19. Involved in running a project on co-production of a CPP (Crisis Prevention planning) group with service users. Also, co-production of Psychology leaflets within the service.
20. I believe I am also skilled in using complex methods of psychological assessment, psychological formulation, intervention and management frequently requiring sustained and intense concentration. I have been involved in regular case discussions, risk and case formulations and treatment planning for individual clients. 22. Proficient in IT skills- running Hybrid (virtual + in-person) DBT groups, offers virtual sessions if required.
23. I am also experienced in maintaining and communicating with other agencies and services in the trust ensuring smooth discharges or continuity of care.
