During my career I have had experience in both Clinical General Practice and Primary Care Development, the provision of flexible and innovative ways of meeting the needs of patients and have been involved at a local level in the Community Rapid Response, Intermediate Care and Virtual Ward Schemes. I have been part of teams with challenging patient groups to support them to access services and the best possible medical and social care.
My deepest joy and motivation is in the clinical aspect of our work, the patient and their families. I have interests and have undertaken post graduate study in Women's Health, Paediatrics, Older Persons Medicine, Diabetes, Mental Health + Substance Misuse, Minor Surgery and Safeguarding and bring a welter of experience in these areas.
I have had some experience in Vascular, Paediatric Research and Developing Audit Systems. I have also had experience in Health Care Education, Mentorship and have an interest in Medical Ethics.
I remain committed to and enthusiastic about General Practice and Primary Care. I have undertaken the Return to Practice process following a period of ill health and family issues, to support sustainable return to being a GP and have worked closely with the scheme and NHSE.
Moving forward as Late Career GP I would welcome the opportunity to undertake a Clinical Placement not only to complete the Return to Practice Scheme requirements but also to be part of supportive Primary Care team providing good patient care, allowing me to develop experience and confidence in returning to the job I love. Ongoing I hope to become part of the GP Retainer Scheme and balance this work with
