Summary

Trauma-informed Counsellor with extensive experience supporting children, young people and adults impacted by a wide range of psychological and relational trauma. My work is grounded in a strong understanding of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs), domestic violence, loss, and complex developmental trauma, including physical, sexual, emotional abuse, neglect and intergenerational trauma.

I bring both professional expertise and relevant lived experience, informing a boundaried, reflective and authentic therapeutic presence. I place strong value on curiosity within the therapeutic relationship, recognising that each individual’s story is unique and approaching all clients with openness, respect and without assumption.

With experience across school settings and private practice, I support individuals navigating complex life experiences, including those within foster care and family care systems. My approach is flexible, attuned and developmentally responsive, drawing on a range of therapeutic modalities including play therapy, CBT and mindfulness-based approaches. I have a particular interest in the intersection of trauma and neurodivergence.

Professional Approach

I work in a trauma-informed, relational and integrative way, with a strong focus on establishing safety, stabilisation and trust. I am experienced in working with complex presentations and understand the importance of pacing, attunement and maintaining work within a client’s window of tolerance. My practice is grounded in building a secure therapeutic relationship as the foundation for meaningful and sustainable change.
