I have undertaken lots of training relevant to the role of residential social worker I am a qualified youth mental heath first aider and alongside this gained awareness of ACES and a trauma informed approach I keep regularly updated with safeguarding training under the Kirklees safeguarding children's board and sign yearly declarations for this collecting evidence throughout my practise I undergo mandatory training inclusive of behaviour support/ diet and nutrition/ supporting children and families with additional needs and regularly work with Speech and language therapists/ occupational therapists and other professionals to ensure the holistic needs of the young people within our care are met I have PRICE training which supports my role also
