Peripheral clinic preparation for 35 clinics each year. This involved liaising with the clinic outpatient department and secretaries, compiling lists of new and follow up patients to be seen by the visiting consultant.
Preparation of files and ensuring correct and up to date correspondence is on file for each patient.
Liaising with outpatients if there were any changes to be made to the list ie cancellations etc, ensuring the consultants are kept up to date.
Using a database to identify any patients that h been missed from the clinic lists that are due to be seen.
I also assisted with the weekly diabetic clinics which involved checking blood results, making sure they are entered into the database. I check that the patients have up to date retinopathy scans and flag up any patients that require annual blood tests. I am then responsible for making sure the patients files are updated before the clinic is held
