As a senior planner at Eddie Stobart container logistics I am responsible for the below.

• Putting together a cost effective achievable plan for Day & Night fleet (Over 100 Jobs a day)
• Revenue and cost targets are achieved, and truck earnings investigated.
• Making sure the costs are correct on the running sheets and anything out of the ordinary is investigated.
• Taking responsibility for containers left on wheels in yards, to ensure exports make the intended vessels and empties are returned in time to avoid detention fees.
• Ensuring containers are returned to quay / depot before detention is incurred and prior to vessel cut offs, investigate with operators if any issues.
• Finding ways to make the job more profitable by utilizing one way, tip and reload.
• Building positive and effective relationships with drivers to ensure we have a content workforce.
• Oversee, manage and monitor the daily activities of my allocated drivers.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations
• Booking VBS & using different VBS systems For all UK ports and Terminals.
• I have took control of trailer compliance making sure all our trailers are MOT'D & Serviced in required time frames and anything non-compliant is VOR'D, this involves speaking with relevant service providers and vendors.

Working For Eddie Stobart on the Tesco contract as a planning Team leader I was responsible for the below.

• Supervising a team of 3 Planners.
• Planning and distributing over 130+ jobs accurately and efficiently per shift
• Controlling and monitoring 96 Trucks and 20 Rigid vehicles
• Produce effective Transport Plans with the legal contains of the law guided by the Time Based Planning Process
• Effective management of drivers through on-going communication supplemented by the use of Microlise and GTS system
• Ensure that GTS and Microlise housekeeping is constantly completed
• Ensure there is clear daily communication between day and nights shifts to optimise production
• Liaising with drivers and customers - dealing with any queries, issues that may arise in a timely and efficient manner
• Logging Vehicle defects & Keeping on top of VOR log
• Liaising with agency and putting together daily & weekly manning levels.
