I have lead teams as a site foreman and have managed many jobs whilst working for myself on various other jobs I have taken a number of apprentices over the years

Team work

Whilst working as a shop fitter it was essential to be a team player as we worked away and were always working to tight deadlines

Ability to work on my own

As a self employed joiner i often work on my own and so am very competent at adapting to both team work and completing tasks alone

Multi skilled

Whilst my main trade is a joiner I have completed training in many other skills such as plumbing and plastering

Time management

Working both self employed and for companies gives me the skills to be aware of time constraints and meet deadlines efficiently

Communication and interpersonal skills

I have worked with a wide variety of people sometimes with very complex needs I am very confident in my ability to communicate effectively in order to get the job done whilst being conscious of the impact on others I always make sure i leave a job clean, tidy and functional for customers

Problem solving

I have come across many situations where i have had to think out of the box and find a solution and am confident in my ability to do so by using my initiative
