Davids Karpenko

I am currently a Level 3 Mechanical Technician for ISDT at Weatherford in Aberdeen. I have been trusted with numerous one-off projects in the workshop, all of which have been run successfully. I regularly perform preventative maintenance on equipment for the safety of me and my colleagues and to ensure NPT is at a minimum.

I comply with detailed job checklists and procedures to ensure all tools are accurately prepared and shipped as per specification, making offshore deployment seamless for the client and our team.

I have developed my skills in Hydraulic tools and high-pressure systems, including pipe bending, which required accuracy and a mechanical understanding of the tool.

During the pandemic, I worked for Lidl and learned great communication skills from talking to hundreds of people a day. I was also receiving tasks from my manager, which I'd have to complete to keep the store running at 100%.

I'm proud of this time because our store was regularly in the Top 3 for profit across the whole of Scotland, and I attribute our strong communication skills to that success.

I also gained lots of practical problem solving skills while working there, which was necessary for a dynamic and constantly changing environment.
