Additional Information
I have always taken full responsibility for every task I have undertaken throughout my career at BT/ Openreach and the British Army. As a result, I have moved between different groups, progressed through the lines of promotion, acquired new skills, and expanded my knowledge. I am highly self-motivated and capable of working both independently and collaboratively as a part of a team. I possess excellent interpersonal skills, as well as strong leadership qualities. As a senior manager and an engineer in the field, I have realised that customer satisfaction is paramount. However, it is equally essential to achieve these goals cost-effectively and in a timely manner understanding time constraints and project targets need to be upheld. I understand that change is the new normal, and that in life I must adapt quickly. This requires the complete engagement of all staff and clear communication that explains the business reasons openly and honestly. I enjoy spending quality time with my family outside of work. I am actively involved in running a children's club for ages 5-9 at my local church. Additionally, I serve as a school governor for a local lower school and free school. I am passionate about sports, and though I used to play actively, these days I tend to watch more than participate.

Since taking early retirement I have enjoyed long walks with my dog and looking after my grandchildren along with my wife. I love gardening and take pride in keeping a smart garden. I love travel when the finances allow. I am an active member of a local church and will help others with travel, shopping and small DIY projects. I do like reading but struggle to generate enough time to do as much as I would like. I love watching all types of sports and until recently I was still playing football weekly.
