I am currently a self employed heating engineer. I started mostly installing domestic heating systems in the early 1990s. In the last 10 to 15 years i have been installing solar water panels, solar PV and heat pumps. I am gasafe qualified in domestic NG and LPG. I have G3 unvented as most systems I install are larger properties. I have been NICEIC, domestic installer, registered for 8 years after becoming qualified to level 3 in electrical installation, inspection and testing. With the law requiring F gas registration to purchase Heat Pumps I gained my certification in 2021. I decided to gain my Level 3 training in education to allow me to teach in further education. I repair and service most of my existing installations and can diagnose most faults within a heating system. Underfloor heating is a large part of my job and linked with smart controls, such as honeywell evohome, i can diagnose faults within this industry very well. I have kept up to date with various courses on pumps, power flushing, corrosion and scale training including recently completing a current water regulations course.
