
I have 16 years of experience in Protective Security and Risk Management, where I have systematically processed, assessed, identified and controlled threats that could impact my Principles and organisation's objectives. I have served as a Firefighter and Co-Responder for ten years, dealing with public and private property damage and single and mass casualty events.
-Conducting full site security risk assessments on a 100 acre Royal Residence estate, identifying high risk incursion areas and implementing and instituting security protocols to negate potential security breaches.
-Experience in optimum placement of monitoring security equipment such as multiple CCTV cameras, Omnitrax and parcel scanning equipment.
-Daily experience in leading team operations to ensure correct physical placement of uniformed officers, patrol vehicles and security stations to maximise security coverage.
-Using multiple security system logging technologies, identifying areas of potential enhancement within security systems and logging and escalating where potential breaches could be made and where enhancements can improve security outcomes, by direct liaison with superior officers and direct with external security technology provision firms.
-Using multi agency approaches to deal with security risks, liaising with police, emergency services, SO14 and the Home Office, often in high pressure and real time situations.
-Mentoring and training new recruits in site surveillance, operational systems, recording requirements, site operational procedures. I also train them on SLAs with the Home Office, Surrey Police, Crown Estates and our resident principals.
-Providing continuous supervision of new and existing officers, recording and reviewing ongoing practice to highlight new training needs, areas of improvement site wide with a view to continuous improvement of overall practice.
- Maintaining excellent professional relationships with team members, superior officers, the Royal household and all site visitors to promote the integrity of the site and its operations at all times.
-National Protective Security Authority (NPSA Security Control Room Operators Course) 5 day training course, covering site management and preparation for terrorist incidents, attack timelines, preparedness and preparation, detection and command and control response. This covered the multi agency approach and the national standardised response model to be used in the event of a terrorist attack.
Retained Firefighter responding to emergencies within my local area, undertaking duties such as;
- Attending a wide range of incidents including fires, road traffic collisions, flood and hazardous/chemical incidents.
- Performing dynamic risk assessments under intense pressure and identifying areas of immediate risk due to (but not limited to) fire, structural damage, casualty risk and current injuries..
- Engaging with communtiy fire safety initatives such as providing advice in schools and home fire safey visits and industrial settings on fire safety and prevention techniques.
- Continunous training and drills to maintain my skill set and fitness to a high standard of a full time firefighter.
