I was a member of the Royal Army Medical Corps, experienced in working in the field ambulance, field surgical teams, field hospital, and combat medical teams. Responsible for the care of pre and post operational patients. Airway and fluid management of priority 1, 2 & 3 casualties (Triage) on the operating table and the wards. Planning and demonstrating casualty simulation for training technicians, and in other regiments. Lecturing technicians in medical procedures experienced in all standard and advanced first aid and life saving techniques required of a medical technician. The management, treatment and stabilisation of nuclear, biological, and chemically (N.B.C) contaminated casualties. Able to carry out minor/intermediate operations in emergency situations. Worked in field surgical teams in various countries around the world, trained in advanced trauma support to a high degree and experienced in many a real-life scenario.

Recent work

In the last few placements i have been providing anaesthetic support for cardio -thoracic produres cardiac vavle replacement , coronary bpyass grafts and thermal abalation of cardiac defects at Papworth hospital, Cambridge.       

At Gateshead hospital i provided anaesthetic support for general surgery. ortho, ,vascular, gyna,e and laparoscopic surgery.

Ensure the safe care of the patient during the perioperative phase of their care, this includes prepation of patients for operative procedures, providing assistance,and initial emergency care as required.

Assemble , check and prepare the appropriate equipment, drugs and consumablesfor a wide range of operative procedures incorporating various types of surgery.

Coordinate the use of supplies and equipment during the operating list, ensuring the equipment is used in an appropriate and safe manner.

Promote and ensure an environment conducive to the continuing prevention and control of infection for all staff, patients and visitors.
