After graduating from university I built up a business exporting fair traded handicrafts from Asia. I spent almost 30years travelling many countries sourcing the great variety of products - all 100% fair traded & had 4 shops in London & employed up to 20 people. I worked together with various organisations such as Oxfam & Global Partnership for many years. I exhibited at a great many expositions, sold a variety of products to then Prince Charles, Kate Winslett, Sting etc. I Opened some events with Princess Anne, met Princess Diana, & even had a 5 page detailed article written about me in The Guardian. I also traded at a great many UK & European Festivals, over 30+ yrs of Glastonbury & WOMAD festivals & many others.
I therefore believe I have a good deal of experience managing all aspects of fluid complex business's & am especially good at relating directly to people. I can make quick decisions when necessary & work hard toward implementing what needs to be done.
I have now returned to live in the UK to educate my daughters, my eldest got to a top grammar schools (The Weald, graduated with 3 x A grades) & is currently at a top university, I have other daughters currently doing well at Churston Ferrers Grammar School.
I spent the last few years building a family home in Devon & more recently began working at Riverford for the last year & a half. I have great relations with everyone in the recycling dept, I know intimately all process's involved. I'm more experienced than any other single person on the ongoing ITT project, having been deeply involved from its inception. I have spent weeks studying the actual steps taken in each process, refining the process's & physically building improved tables etc.
