  • Ensuring health and safety guidelines were understood and were upheld by all employees.
  • Risk assessments were completed and information given was used to ensure all works were safe for employees.
  • Assured Works were being completed within the schedule and budget to achieve great customer satisfaction and profits.
  • Machine checks were being completed and machinery certificate was up to date.
  • Lakesmere deliveries were delivered with the time slot given and that the delivery notes were supplied and correct.
  • Weekly meetings with the site manager to give progress reports.

Canary Wharf Crossrail Station

Canary Wharf Crossrail Station was ran by Crossrail as part of the Crossrail project.

Lakesmeres works consisted of a two part build. The first part was to build the louvres and the stainless steel perimeter in a warehouse in Durham. The second part was to deliver them to site and crane them into place.

As the leader of the small group workers sent to Durham to build these cassettes i had to ensure works were completed on time and to a high standard, to keep to the delivery schedules so they can arrive on site on time. Main responsibilities includes:

  • Keeping to the strict deadlines and the high standards of works required.
  • All warehouse Health and Safely were maintained within our work force
  • Daily communication was kept with the site manager at Canary Wharf for updates and work progress
  • Working with the warehouse management to provide a work area and material storage.
  • Check all deliveries to make sure the correct and the right quantity for materials were being delivered.
  • Ensured safe storage of completed cassettes and protection for transport
