Currently serving as General Manager at Veterans into Logistics. Committed to providing strategic leadership, ensuring the organisation fulfill its mission to support and empower military veterans and their families.
- Develop 12 monthly business plans and 3 - 5 year strategies to present to the board for sign off.
- Ensure the charities governance is compliant.
- Oversee financial management, working closely with the book keeper and accountants to produce monthly P&L reports, identify variances and present clear financial insights to the Board.
- Ensure adherence to procurement and governance policies, including multi-quote supplier processes and annual cost reviews to maintain best value and cost control.
- Lead fundraising, partnership development and commercial engagement with logistics companies, training providers, and industry stakeholders.
- Pitch to new partners and patrons, identify and develop leads and secure employment opportunities for HGV-trained veterans.
- Manage and support office and operational teams, holding weekly meetings, setting performance expectations, and ensuring effective cross-team collaboration.
- Handle performance management, disciplinaries, and employee relations, liaising with HR specialists (Peninsula) on complex workforce matters.
- Work alongside Veteran Leads in prison settings to support rehabilitation and transition of ex-offenders into logistics employment.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employer partners and clients to ensure successful veteran placements and long-term engagement.
- Manage complaints and sensitive cases professionally protecting the charity’s reputation and stakeholder confidence.
- Act as the charity's ambassador, raising awareness of veteran employment initiatives within logistics sector.
