My main experience lies in customer service and retail. I have acquired transferable skills, such as stocktaking, stock rotation/management, general IT proficiency, multi-tasking, and communication skills with both clients and team members. I would describe myself as energetic in the workplace environment. I prefer to be physically active, mentally engaged, and busy when working, which I believe this job offers to a greater degree than my previous jobs. Importantly, I believe that my adaptability, enthusiasm, and flexibility makes me a suitable candidate for this particular role.
World Challenge - At the age of 16, as a part of a group fundraising scheme, I raised money and travelled to Costa Rica, where I spent a month participating recreational activities and volunteer work comprising manual labour tasks. This taught me the importance of hard work, perseverance, and teamwork. I found it to be an exciting but humbling experience, opening my eyes to a different culture and way of life, and people less fortunate than me.
Outside of work, my main hobby is rugby and sport. I enjoy playing part as a team, and find it beneficial for stress relief, and for physical, mental, and social well-being.
Last year, I completed a week-long security training course. This included behavioural and communication skills, physical restraint techniques and the legislation surrounding it. Although I have not applied for a license, I remain SIA certified as a doors-supervisor for a further two years.
