This role sits between operational advisors and formal management, focused on developing leadership, decision-making, and people-development skills.

I work within a senior team of eight supporting approximately eighty advisors handling customer interactions and risk-related processes. A key part of my role is coaching colleagues to perform confidently and effectively, in line with organisational standards.

This includes providing regular feedback, guidance, and support to improve performance, develop practice, and maintain consistent quality. I contribute to a positive, structured environment through clear communication, modelling expectations, and supporting professional growth.

The role requires strong safeguarding awareness, sound judgement, and the ability to support others through complex or sensitive situations. It has strengthened my coaching, communication and relationship-building skills, which transfer directly to supporting pupils, colleagues, and wider school communities in a primary education setting.

Worked as a part-time supply SEND Teaching Assistant, supporting students with diverse learning needs and assisting teachers in delivering lessons. The role was my first experience in an educational setting, providing insight into classroom support, individualised learning and fostering an inclusive environment.
