I am a motivated and hard working 24 year old, who has just graduated from a Paramedic Science Degree with a 2.1. My ambulance and care work experience has led me to develop strong communication skills, dedication to delivering the best person-centred care possible, compassion, reliability and responsibility. I pride myself on providing skilled care to a wide range of patients, ranging from the elderly to infants. Working as a babysitter has given me experience with children and an understanding of how to effectively communicate with them and encourage creative learning. My university studies have given me extensive first aid training and knowledge of many chronic and acute health conditions, as well as an understanding of child development and communication.
Throughout my Paramedic Science degree we completed over 500 hours each year of placement, where we were stationed at ambulance stations and worked alongside qualified paramedics. This adds up to over 1500 hours of prehospital emergency experience, which will aid me greatly in my future jobs.
During the COVID-19 pandemic I was working at an elderly care home. I received recognition of exemplary care from a visiting urgent care nurse who assisted us when our residents sadly contracted covid.
