I left school at 16 years old and joined the 1st battalion Scots guards, I had a good military career and achieved the rank of drum major at the end of my career. I have worked in various operations and theatres of war around the world and have also carried out various ceremonial rolls including trooping the colour. I left the army in 2003 and left with an exemplary service record.

I joined the British army in 1986, and served with the 1st Battalion Scots Guards until I left in 2003, with an Exemplary military record. I have served in many areas of conflict and progressed through the military rank structure with my final rank being Drum Major. I am currently employed by NOMS and I am a Custodial manager and I have line manager responsibility in excess of 30 prison officers, and supervising officers.
