I have been working as a health care assistant since leaving college in 2017 whilst studying health and social care. I obtained my NVQ2 whilst in my current role as a care assistant. In this role the skills I have learnt are recording and reporting, helping vulnerable adults with their daily needs dressing and with diet and fluids, annd making them smile. Also assisting the nurses with medication and wound dressing. I have thoroughly enjoyed this role, but am now looking to explore other career opportunities.
During my time as a care assistant I got to the final of the Barchester national care awards for apprentice of the year. This was a big achievement for me.

My son is currently going through an autism referral and throughout this I have learned how to listen without words and communicate in different ways. Provide activities that suit his needs for him to excel. We love to go swimming and throw stones on the beach. This is where we are both at our happiest.
