  • Hometrack provides market intelligence, automated property valuations, and solutions for digitising and automating mortgage processes.
  • As architect and tech lead for the Valuation & Risk product group, team of 5, I oversaw architecture and engineering efforts, ensuring alignment between technical strategies and business goals.
  • Following an acquisition, I delivered an integration of core products, incorporating portfolio risks, climate change risks, and customer price evaluation into Hometrack’s property valuations. This significantly expanded our market coverage.
  • Performed selection process for the right identity provider, with the goal of unifying the login experience across products. The selected solution was purchased and integrated, and I added support for HSBC single sign-on and hierarchical role-based access control.
  • Responsible for writing and breaking down work items, epics, features and stories, refine them with the rest of the team and use planning poker to come up with estimates.
  • Involved in quarterly planning and other business-oriented discussions on behalf of my team.

  • Involved in designing and implementing a new cloud architecture in Microsoft Azure, as part of a company-wide re-platforming process. I found solutions, developed services and wrote Terraform scripts, augmented with PowerShell and ARM templates.
  • Developed Valuer product – web application that allows surveyors to value properties from the comfort of their computer screens – contracted to HSBC, Bank of Ireland, and Barclays.
  • Developed REST API for ordering Property Valuation Reports – integrated by many customers in the form of subscriptions, later sold as a co-branded solution for property agents through the Zoopla platform.
  • Broke down monoliths, developed new microservices in Azure.
  • Created CI/CD pipelines, built a new reporting engine using InDesign Server, made improvements to Hometrack’s geographical web-service, introduced unit tests for JavaScript, and developed a cross-business prototype search portal for commercial properties.
  • Took on a Project Manager role and 1) coordinated the development of a new admin portal for multiple products, and 2) initiated a new commercial project. Organised stakeholder meetings, captured business requirements, defined business case, risks, technical requirements, project objectives and scope, milestones.
