Currently employed at Ashtead Technology as a maintenance technician, based in Hatton of Fintray. I have been working with winches, pneumatic & hydraulic umbilical reels. I have also been responsible for the maintenance of HPU's and high pressure jetting pumps.

Experienced, fully qualified technician working with HGV's, buses, cars with both electric and combustion engines. Transferrable skills allows for growth and problem solving on the job,

During my time with Ashtead I have been an integral part of the team working with HPU's, umbilical reels, compressors, generators and high-pressured pumps.

I have experience in the following

  • Carrying out repairs to ensure machine longevity.
  • Making necessary modifications to equipment to improve efficiency using fabricating & welding techniques.
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance for increased equipment lifespan.
  • Carrying out function tests and shutdowns on various equipment. I also liaised with 3rd party inspectors such as DNV.
  • Diagnosed malfunctions to promptly restore service. This occurred throughout routine maintenance on equipment.
  • Conducted equipment overhauls to improve performance levels.
  • Setting up flows and pressures on pressure compensated diesel and electric HPU's

Offshore Experience

From July to December 2025 I was heavily involved with the ongoing projects in the Eastern Mediterranean Sea at the Tamar and Leviathan platforms. Working on board various vessels, my duties involved operating the pumps that carried out FCG & ILI pigging as well as carrying out hydrostatic testing on the subsea pipeline. This came with many challenges but it allowed me to improve my quick thinking skills and adapt to my surroundings, working with limited resources.
