  • i preform Microtomy which involves manual dexterity and conscientiousness in order to produce a representative section of tissue which is paramount for accurate diagnosis

  • My job consisted of managing the bar and staff, performing cellar duties and paying wages
  • I was regularly trusted to shut down and lock up the pub by myself
  • Some nights can become very busy so I learnt to excel under pressure and lead the busy nights to success
  • I was also required to answer the phone to customers enquiring about events or to book functions alongside liaising with the brewery and other suppliers to place orders and to ensure the orders we received would be correct

  • My job of Apprentice manufacturing technician consisted of being trained in the general duties of a laboratory, the disposal of laboratory waste, the maintenance of stock levels, the completion of laboratory paperwork, gowning in order to entry clean rooms and the cleaning of all areas of the laboratory
  • I also carried out administrative duties such as filing, copying, typing and binding of SOP files
  • Also communication via email was a regular and essential part of my job in order to keep informed on any developments within the laboratory or office

  • Whilst working at Fawsley hall hotel my role as a housekeeping assistant involved cleaning rooms, checking rooms, cleaning public areas and also restocking cupboards to a four star standard
  • On top of my normal duties I was also asked by my head of department to represent the housekeeping department in a series of meetings to discuss new ideas and upcoming changes
  • The keys skills that were developed in the job were as follows: Team work - Even though a certain about of rooms were allocated to each housekeeper we would all help each other to finish by the end of day
  • Time keeping - The amount of rooms required to be cleaned would vary from day to day so in order to complete all your rooms to a four start standard you would need to correctly organise and allocate your time
  • Independent work - As I mentioned before teamwork is a key aspect of the job but the majority of the time I would be required to work independently in the rooms and also to self-check each room which consists of making sure everything is perfect for new arrivals

  • Company Overview: I worked within the John Lewis Partnership at Waitrose where customer service is in its prime and the quality of produce is fantastic
  • My role at Waitrose consisted of restocking the fruit and veg department, organising the stores rooms and providing outstanding customer service
  • I was also till trained so I could help out on check outs if required
  • Whilst working at Waitrose I received an award for excellent customer care for helping a elderly member of public who had very unfortunately slipped
  • Team work was the big part of my job especially when the store got busy
  • In order to keep the customer experience at an excellent standard you were required to work closely with your fellow team members to ensure all goals of department were reached
  • Customer service is at the heart of what Waitrose does and I believe that an attentive yet unintrusive approach to customer service is the ideal balance to provide each customer with the perfect shopping experience
  • I demonstrated this belief every time I worked
