After leaving my high school education in 2016 I have worked full time while pursuing my creative interests in my free time - most importantly learning game development. I started teaching myself how to work around Unreal Engine at the start of 2024 before moving on to Unity and C#. In this time, I have participated in a Global Game Jams and have made multiple other small games in different genres in my free time while being at college to start building a portfolio and to further my knowledge surrounding the development lifecycle. Creating these games out with college has helped me learn more than expected of me in the course but has also let me help my peers within the class. Throughout 2025 I aim to create and learn more in my free time to further my knowledge of art, design and programming while also completing my HNC studies at West College Scotland before moving on to University. Studying HNC Computer Games Development has allowed me to build a foundation of knowledge of game creation and development. I have been able to gain a better understanding of multiple other aspects surrounding game design such as project management, the applied math functions used in programming and the importance of testing your games all throughout the process in order to catch and fix issues before continuing development. In my current job at a large NHS hospital near Glasgow I am expected to work in busy environments and within multiple different teams. Over my time working in this role, I have been able to develop my communication skills while working all over the hospital in different wards and specialist departments. I find myself to be an extremely creative, confident and helpful individual who works well within a team and under stressful situations. This is shown through my commitment to playing and creating music since the age of 15. In 2024 I was lucky enough to go on two full UK tours with my band playing over 20 shows in front of thousands of people while also writing and releasing music. I believe this shows my dedication to learning and eagerness to do well in my creative endeavours.
