Summary

My name is Cody Wilkinson and I am currently a student at Ratton school. Right now I am in year 11 and have chosen my GCSEs my choices were PE, engineering, geography and the standard maths, english, science with an additional ethics. My favourite subject at the moment is definitely PE as I enjoy doing physical activity and competing in different sports. I'm also greatly keen on PE theory as I get to learn about muscles, bones and how they work.

In my free time I like to spend it on playing football for my local team and I turn up every Sunday morning for my football game and have been doing so for the last 10 years this shows my commitment and determination to improve as a player, and that seems to pay of as in year 9 I won the county cup with my school team and won the league with my local football team in year 8.

I have also some experience of being a leader as i was apart of sports crew in year 5 and 6 and also in years 8 and 9 where we helped with local schools sports days and i had to use my leadership skills by showing the younger children how to complete the sports tasks by giving them verbal and manual guidance.

I also run a lot in my free time and have been doing so for a long time which has lead me to being entered in various different events such as the cross country where I have been competing in for 5 years in a row (year 6, year 7, year8 , year 9 , and year 10) in year 6 I went through to the fourth and final round which was a great achievement for me and my family in which in attained 17th place out of 280 people from all around Sussex, and in the upcoming years I managed to get to at least the second round ; these experiences lead me to be able to be more competitive and self motivated to achieve anything I want to.

In the future i want to be involved with the sports and physiotherapist industry which would hopefully lead to my ultimate goal of being a sports physician for a premier league club.

Junior researcher

I was about 10 years old when i was approached to be a junior researcher for a company that was called beano/indeemo where each month they ask me to complete about 10 tasks which are aimed at my opinion and what happens in my day to day life. This helps the researchers build a picture of what teenagers are influenced by, I sometimes have video calls with the researchers. This has enabled me to learn skills to communicate with adults efficiently.

  • My hobbies are playing football, golf and i go skiing every year. I like being very busy and active and i even got myself a car washing job last summer to try to to earn myself some money. .

i have earned myself many sporting awards such as trophies and medals, these including sportsmanship awards for football and running events.
