A hobby sewist with roughly 2 years experience in drafting and sewing garments and small bags. Skills I've picked up and use frequently are:
- Batching tasks (in order to shave off time and conserve personal motivation)
- Narrowing limitless creative options. This was a hard learning curve - for a while I'd burn out from redesigning repeatedly, until I figured out how to set the right constraints.
- Easy repairs - I've opened the machine a bunch of times and fixed problems (bobbin tension, pressure foot height, maintenance) and know my way around most issues I hear home sewists complain about.
